Designing for Equality

Designing for Equality, a course developed to challenge students to use design-thinking to solve complex gender based challenges, will be kicking off at the Rotman School of Management on September 14th!

It has been a 'once in a lifetime' experience working with the fabulous Sarah Kaplan, founder of the Institute of Gender and the Economy, and a variety of change-makers from our community, to develop this course. In light of the continued, heated dialogue about gender, it certainly seems that the time is right to inspire young business leaders to 'reframe' stubbornly persistent gender challenges and uncover new, more innovative ways to 'change the conversation'.

Thank you to my partners from: RBC, 'What She Said Radio', Liisbeth, Deloitte/Conduit Law, Boardroom Blueprint and Tellenet for your time and commitment to this effort. I am very much looking forward to the journey ahead, working with each of you, our students and our community to rethink and re-vision different ways forward. In the wise words of Margaret Mead, we should: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
